An Amazing Story About Planting Oak Trees
This video tells the incredible story about the Oak Beams supporting the New College at Oxford. It highlights the criticality of strategic planning. This is one of my favorite videos because of the reaction of the Oak Tree when I say, ‘we need to plant trees’ - when I rewatched this video, it gave me chills.
A Pollinator Proposal
This video marked my first foray into spreading the Stewardship Message. This video had more than 56,000 views on TikTok and more than 12,600 likes. I made this video about a year after I had the epiphany which moved me from a culture of Dominion to a culture of Stewardship. When I made this video, I had never seen a monarch on my land in over 16 years of ownership. My change to a role of stewardship changed everything. I saw more than 360 of them last year.
Sunflowers & Monarchs
In August and September, I enjoy the arrival of my sunflowers. On the land, I have almost 70 acres with native sunflowers growing. In the summer of 2025, the sunflower bloom was welcomed in by the highest count of monarchs we had enjoyed in numerous years. The Methuselah generation of the Monarchs (those that migrate to Mexico and over-winter there), was passing through and enjoying the bounty. Enjoy this short video highlighting the beauty here.
Contemplation on Hate
I’m always amazed by my land’s ability to teach me things if I’m just willing to listen … and think. This video is about the notion of Hate and it stems from my hatred of the Honey Locust trees on my farm. Once again, in this case, I end up humbled by what I learned about this land and its inhabitants.
